Why I Care…

Growing up, I have always been a lover of nature. I have always been infatuated with the greenery, wildlife and other types of natural phenomena on Earth. I grew up in a house located directly next to a average sized pond where I would spend my time playing. I would watch the swans and ducks who would make their daily visits. I loved to look out for frogs and would try to catch them and would set them free after a couple minutes of admiration. Also, living in Michigan has allowed me to make some special memories outdoors such as kayaking on Lake Michigan, exploring the Sleeping Bear dunes and boating on Lake Huron. I have been fortunate enough to travel and see beautiful parts of the world. Whether its Florida, Mexico, the Caribbean, or simply looking out my window, I always appreciate the amount of beauty in nature. My favorite place is Hawaii, and traveling there gives me an overwhelming feeling of calmness, homeliness  and security. I could observe the mountains and the beautiful scenery for hours upon hours. My love for nature gives me a deep personal interest in keeping our environment beautiful. It is extremely difficult for me to think about the damage we do to our planet, as I think about what it could end up looking like in a couple hundred years from now. I am immensely passionate about the condition of our environment.
